Dalston
If you’re a bit of an artist or consider yourself a bit of a hipster then Dalston may be the place for you. Right in the East End, Dalston alongside Shoreditch have some of the usual and coolest things you’ll ever see such as vintage stalls, open markets and art work from the mysterious Banksy. Though the rent can be on the higher side of the spectrum you can find great deals for as little as £170pw. If you love the sound of East London but don’t want to break the bank then make sure you check out Hackney as the up and coming area is a popular place for young people who are looking to work in media or the creative industries.
Kensington
If you’re an international student and want to be in the hub of tourist attractions then you must check out accommodation in Kensington. Home to Kensington Palace and surrounded by Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park, the West is where London comes alive and where you have to be. With the famous West End round the corner, you’ll be able to shop to you drop the famous Bond Street and Oxford Street. Though sometimes living in the middle of the student mecca can be overwhelming we would suggest that if you would want to explore more the West and look at your accommodation options then make sure you consider Shepherd’s Bush and Hammersmith.
Camden

Renowned for some of London’s most eccentric clothing, old cobbled streets and celebrity spotting, Camden is in the North of London. There are a fantastic range of restaurants, bars and markets that will be sure to catch your eye. If you’re looking to party then you’ll be happy to know that North London offers the beautiful Notting Hill Carnival that happens every year!
Docklands
If you’re looking for reasonably priced accommodation then you need to check out the Docklands. With great transportation links you’ll be able to travel freely. It’s more relaxed that most areas but you have Greenwich which is only a train ride away which has some of the most magnificent antique markets, great foods and historical buildings. If you’re a film fan you’ll be happy to know that Greenwich is also the setting of the likes of Sherlock Holmes, Les Miserables and the Pirates of the Caribbean.
Richmond
If you’re a proactive individual and you don’t mind the distance then you must check Richmond as a place to stay. With beautiful open spaces such as Richmond Park you’ll find plenty to do in this gorgeous area. Other places worth looking at if you don’t mind the South West are Twickenham and Sutton were you can find nice restaurants, shops and even Kew Gardens nearby.
